This ongoing practice-led project explores the dynamic relationship between subjectivity and painting in the digital age. It views painting as a dual tool: conveying the artist's subjectivity and unearthing the broader spectrum of human subjectivity. The project aims to investigate how painting enhances our understanding of subjectivity in an era dominated by technology and virtual information. It will utilize the Rhizomatic theory of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari to develop a spontaneous and fluid rhizomatic painting methodology. Thus, Sitian emphasizes the painting process and the direction it can lead her thinking, over the final result, allowing her to examine her own subjectivity and gradually approach that of others.
